All the walls were removed, but the poles remained, including the one that was in the middle of Mr. Stratton's gym.
The windows in the back went to the kitchen.  
On both sides of the center window are small stones which come out from the wall a few inches.  Before this addition, the stones supported a  stairway and some of this area was a court yard between what we know now as Classical and State Street Grammar School.
