I put three pictures of the Pigeon Roost on the same page.
At 3:30 in the afternoon, this courtyard looked more like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"
This may be where some of our "chicken" and "meatballs" came from.....
There is some evidence of their return....


A huge set of air ducts filled most of the inner courtyard which became known as the Pigeon Roost.





This was the inner courtyard of the High School building.  Only those who attended knew of it.



This round window was part of the school's ventilation system - a huge air duct filled the entire space.
