From another roof cut out patio - two of Classical's lightning
rods. The roof shingles are still slate.
The top of St. Michael's cathedral's steeple appears between the
two lightning rods.
This patio as of 2007 was enclosed. because the building is now
considered historic, no more alternations can be done to the
exterior. The funny thing is, in my opinion, enclosing the patios
with sloping glass would give the building the look of having skylights
again - like it did back in the 1890's when it was first opened!
This picture looks at the patio that the upper picture was taken from.
The modifications, in my opinion, make the building look more historic
than the open patio.
Looking back at St, Michael's with a digital camera, the snow catchers
appear in this picture taken with a digital camera.
Some details of my trip back in the late 1980's were lost because I had
a cheap camera, my scanner was only so good and the pictures were 15
years old.
