
Looking up above the 1897 cornerstone -
the lions - with a digital
camera this time!
From a patio in a roof cut out on the
State-Wesson side of the
building, I was able
to take a picture of one of the many lion's heads which surrounded the
origional high school building. State Street Junior High was added to
the building in the 1920's, renamed to Classical Junior High in 1934
and closed when Classical High took over the entire building in 1974.
