While this is below the observatory, a set of stairs was removed as to split these two areas between 2 different units.


Another picture from the tour I took in the late 1980's after the school closed.
This room was located below the Observatory - both rooms were closed by the 1980's
The floor, walls and ceiling were all wood in this room..
The pole in my right hand went to the observatory above for the telescope.



The room became an artist's studio - with the sun streaming in.



While keeping the original look of the wood, a few personnel touches were added. 
The light looks like something from a century or more ago.



More supports for the observatory above.



From this room a narrow passage leads to the rest of the unit.
The only enclosed patio (allowed by the history police) is in he background)
To the top behind the steel, a hint of a part of a stairway can be seen.
