The Observatory - yet another room we never saw.  The telescope disappeared years ago, but the supporting pole remains
I was told that the dome still turned and opened as of  the late 1980's.
The dents and the dings were the result if the summer hail storm of 1985, before that the dome was in perfect shape.


I foind this pictire in the 1948 year book.
It's a picture of a picture...  I don't know what is at the top of the picture.
At least we know that there was a telescopr there in 1948.
